Legal Aid plans annual fundraiser April 27
The Legal Aid Society of Louisville will have its signature fundraising event, the Brush, Bottle, and Barrel of the Bluegrass, April 27 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mary Rodes Lannert Athletic Center at Louisville Collegiate School, 2427 Glenmary Ave.
In 2011 more than 500 people attended the event that raised more than $45,000 for Legal Aid.
The ninth annual Brush, Bottle and Barrel will be a preview for the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair. Fifteen select artists who participate in the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair will display and sell their art in advance of the fair.
The fundraiser will also feature tastings of Kentucky wines, bourbons, beers, and a liqueur, with numerous vendors on site promoting their products.
The law firm of Stites & Harbison is the event’s gold sponsor, with support from many other sources.
Tickets are $75 and may be purchased at the door, or in advance at www.laslou.org or call (502) 584-1254. ((OK)) Free valet parking will be available at the event.
Legal Aid is a non-profit organization that provides civil legal assistance to families and individuals in poverty in 15 counties in Kentucky.
