Normally, I would not get too worked up about the Louisville Metro Mayor's election since it is not directly related to the courts, but the ruckus over Jim and Katie King's intertwining finances in last year's elections, the paternal input into judicial evaluations, and failure of Judge Katie King to accept responsibility for campaign finance decisions of her own campaign (allowing her father to take the hit) mandates some mention and monitoring the comings and goings in that race. A judge should be independent and accountable to all the voters. Judge Katie's and Councilman Jim's dealings create concerns.
Thus here is a post/link from Jacob Payne's blog at PageOne Louisville.
Louisville mayoral candidate Jim King proposes the restoration of the LMPD Gang Squad and gets a labor endorsement. [The ‘Ville Voice & More VV]
