FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear today announced the following judicial appointments to serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Scott Taylor Reese as District Judge for the 32nd Judicial District, Division 1, consisting of Boyd County.
- Scott Taylor Reese, of Catlettsburg, has most recently served as the assistant commonwealth attorney in the 32nd Judicial Circuit. He received his juris doctor from the Widener University School of Law in Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s from Texas Tech University. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable George W. Davis III to Circuit Judge for the 32nd Judicial Circuit, Division 1.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Mason Lee Trenaman Sr. as District Judge for the 30th Judicial District, Division 13, consisting of Jefferson County.
- Mason Lee Trenaman Sr., of Louisville, is an attorney in private practice. He received his juris doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law and his bachelor’s from Murray State University. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Joan A. Stringer.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable William Warner Roberts as District Judge for the 21st Judicial District, Division 1, consisting of Bath, Menifee, Montgomery and Rowan counties.
- William Warner Roberts, of Morehead, is an attorney with Roberts and Associates PLLC. He received his juris doctor from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law and his bachelor’s from Morehead State University. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable William E. Lane to Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit, Division 1.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable William R. Whitledge as District Judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit, Division 2, consisting of Hopkins County.
- William R. Whitledge, Madisonville, is an attorney in private practice. He received his juris doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and his bachelor’s from the University of Kentucky. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Robert F. Soder.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable David Doran Flatt as Circuit Judge to serve in Family Court for the 37th Judicial Circuit, Division 2, consisting of Carter, Elliot and Morgan counties.
- David Doran Flatt, of Olive Hill, has most recently served as the Commonwealth’s Attorney in the 37th Judicial Circuit. He received his juris doctor from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase School of Law and his bachelor’s from Morehead State University. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Kristi Gossett.
