JEFFERSON COUNTY: Mike O'Connell Appointed New Jefferson County Attorney

Picture_15 Louisville attorney Mike O'Connell has been appointed by Governor Abramson to complete the unexpired term of 2 1/2 years remaining as Jefferson County Attorney following Irv Maze's appoinment to the circuit court bench.

O'Connell has spent 33 years in legal and public service. He was an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney in the 70s, a District and Circuit Court judge in the 80s, and has been a civil trial attorney for the last 18 years. He said with the new title, he will continue to practice privately as time allows and will most likely run for election in 2010.   From WAVE3 story.  Click here.
