The Courier-JournalEmployers who joined workers' compensation fund AIK Comp are responsible for the failed insurer's deficit, Franklin Circuit Judge William Graham has ruled in Frankfort.
He declared that accusations of fraud and misrepresentation by others do not release members from their obligations.
Under agreements that came with their membership, employers received reduced workers' compensation rates with the understanding that they could be retroactively charged for shortfalls. . . . . .
