Another Possible Candidate for Supreme Court?

In a posting at BlueGrassReports.org, blogger Mark Nicolas discussed Governor Fletcher's fund raising woes in light of recent political developments, then he added the following comment:

Also, I was told to keep a close eye on whether Court of Appeals Judge Laurance VanMeter decides to enter the Supreme Court race where John Roach is hoping to hold on to his appointed seat, as this may signal whether Senator McConnell has chosen his own candidate for that race -- especially one that who would have ample cross-over Democratic support. While I'm told that there's no clear evidence of McConnell's imprint on this race so far, many are keeping a close eye for a signal.
